Alameda Candle Co is a little home-based business started in 2020. All of our candles are hand poured with 100% soy wax and scented with essential oils or candle-safe fragrances. If you’re local to the Bay Area, you might notice some familiar names in a few of our signature scents! Candle Care
How long do they burn?
All of our candles burn best when lit for around four hours at a time. The total burn time is listed in each product description, 20-80 hours.
Must I trim the wick?
Yep, you really should trim your wick to 1/4″ before every single burn! This prevents the black soot buildup and also helps the candle burn evenly.
Is my candle...sweating?
Pure soy wax is one of the most finicky candle waxes out there, so if it seems to be crying or bubbling up, it’s just being its sensitive soy wax self.

A bit about this little island we call Alameda
Alameda, CA, also known as the Island City, is located between Oakland and San Francisco. It’s a charming city filled with beautiful Victorian homes, mom & pop stores and a repurposed old naval base. The 2.5 mile beach along the SF Bay is now a favorite spot for locals and kite surfers, but in the early 1900’s, it was home to the world famous Neptune Beach amusement park. WWII transformed the town from an attractive resort destination into a proud Navy town. Alameda’s remarkable history and cast of characters has given this little city a personality all its own.
